What if it goes right?

For the longest time, the only real what ifs that kept me back happened to be negative. "What if everything goes wrong? What if no one cares? What if?" It blocked me from believing in myself, my work, my message. After really sitting down and doing work with my inner child, I knew I wanted to continue my art in a meaningful way. I started asking myself, why do I create art? What do I gravitate toward? Art has always been such an important facet in my life. My grandmother and mother were very talented. They encouraged me to draw the moment I could hold a pencil. They inspired me so much that the answer to the question, "what do you want to be when you grow up" was always artist. With the most recent discourse in the creative space over AI and 3D printing, I really wanted to create work that felt human. There's mistakes, pencil marks, stain running a little over lines..but it is human. No matter what, starting this was a way for me to combat all the what if it goes wrong with well what if it goes right.

Long story short - I want to inspire others to create, to explore their inner worlds, to bring awareness not only to local artist, but to the environment. To create the most authentic pieces while continuing to grow as an artist. All this babbling to say, thank you for your support. Whether it's kind words, sharing links, buying, or even just admiring. This blog will be more of a brain dump into the highs and lows of being an artist, the expectations we tend to set for ourselves, and so much more. To those who will be reading this, I hope this look into the chaos will help you in some way.

This will be a real look into the artist behind the art. Stay Tuned!
